Modernise your technology
Stop patching, start modernising
Application modernisation, cloud and platform engineering, integration and identity management that make ageing systems modern, secure, stable and efficient.
Upgrade or transform outdated systems into more contemporary, efficient and adaptable solutions. Most technology and digital ecosystems have accumulated over time. A system bought five years ago, patched around one bought ten years before that, with a new platform bolted on when an old one couldn't keep up. Eventually nothing talks to anything else properly, and every change takes longer than it should. Fixing that is rarely just a technology exercise, the processes and people built around those old systems usually need to change too.
At Integral, we modernise applications, from targeted API integration through to a full rebuild, manage the transition to cloud and platform layer, connect systems that were never meant to work together, and get data sovereignty and security, identity and access under control, so what you're running is modern, secure, stable and efficient.
Application modernisation
Updating ageing applications to fit how the business works today, ranging from targeted api integration through to a full rebuild, matched to what the system actually needs. The result is fewer errors, lower running costs and systems that are faster to change.
Cloud & platform establishment
Building and managing cloud infrastructure across azure, openshift and kubernetes, so your platforms scale when demand grows and stay stable when it doesn’t.
Integration
Connecting applications and platforms so they work as one system, removing the manual handling that creeps in when systems don’t talk to each other.
Identity and access management
Controlling who can access what, and proving it, so systems stay secure without making legitimate access harder than it needs to be.
Technology platforms
Implementing and configuring platforms like hubspot and crm systems, matched to how your organisation actually works day to day.
Bringing people and process along with the technology change is part of every modernisation program – you can learn more about our expertise in transformation and change here.
Looking for data strategy, governance or AI enablement?
Why Integral for technology modernisation?
Integral has been establishing, modernising and integrating technology and digital solutions for over 25 years. We're certified across the major enterprise technology stacks and platforms, so the recommendations we make come with the credentials and real-world experience to back them. This includes Red Hat, Microsoft, AWS, IBM, HubSpot and others. We also treat modernisation as a people and process change as much as a technical one, so the teams running these systems are ready for what changes underneath them.
How we work with you
Understand
We start with your business, your constraints and what "good" looks like for you, not a generic playbook.
Define
We work with your leadership team to define the direction, the operating model changes required, and the business case that gets it funded.
Prove
Every recommendation is tested against evidence — audits, data, stakeholder input — so it holds up when it's questioned.
Govern
We help put the governance in place to keep the direction on track once delivery starts, so the strategy doesn't drift.
Relevant Capabilites
Our teams bring together expertise in business strategy, brand experience and technology enablement to provide you with the right solutions at the right time for your organisation.

FAQ's
If you can't find the answer here, just ask...Legacy System modernisation is the process of updating outdated business systems and applications to make them more efficient, cost-effective and aligned to business needs and technological advancements.
This is typically done to extend the lifespan of legacy applications, enhance their functionality, and adapt them to new environments or platforms.
There are many ways to modernise your applications, from integrating existing systems with APIs to doing a full rip-and-replace of infrastructure and building an entirely new application architecture.
Do we need to replace our systems, or can we modernise what we have?
Most of the time, modernise what you have. A full rebuild is sometimes the right call, but targeted API integration or a phased upgrade usually solves most of the problem, at a fraction of the cost and risk.
We work across Azure, OpenShift and Kubernetes, and hold partner status with Microsoft, Red Hat and AWS. We recommend the platform that fits your existing environment rather than pushing a single vendor.
Change management sits alongside every modernisation program we run — it's covered under Deliver programs & change, and we sequence the two together so the people using these systems are ready when the technology changes.
Integration connects systems that already work but don't talk to each other. Application modernisation changes the systems themselves, so they're easier to maintain and extend. Often you need both, but they solve different problems.
Depending on what a system needs, that might mean migrating to the cloud, building APIs, breaking a monolith into microservices, containerising workloads, introducing DevOps practices, strengthening security, applying AI, or general application development. We match the technique to the problem rather than defaulting to one approach.
The specifics depend on where you're starting from, but typical outcomes include automated business processes, faster systems, lower costs from eliminating redundant functions, a better experience for everyone using the system, fewer data errors and data loss, and reduced overall risk.
Yes. We're a HubSpot certified partner for CRM, marketing automation and content management work, with experience across other platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce. We've also worked on several large-scale ERP modernisation and integration projects, including SAP and TechnologyOne.
